LineCheck - Mental Health and Self-Care for Creatives
After a tumultuous year, the Minnesota music scene has its eye on rebuilding. The Current is launching LineCheck, a series of virtual conversations with the Minnesota music community about how to make sure we're not just returning to a new normal, but coming back even better than before. Join us Tuesday, June 15th for the next installment in this series, focused on the Mental Health and Self-Care for Creatives

The next installment takes place on June 15th and will focus on Mental Health and Self-Care for Creatives. Therapist, educator, and Dissonance co-founder Sarah Souder Johnson Sarah will lead a conversation with Annie Mack, Davina Lozier of Davina and the Vagabonds, and Nazeem of Blood $moke Body. The group will discuss the emotional toll of the last year, how artists are faring now, and explore resources available to those working in creative industries. Plus, catch live performances from Mary Bue.

Sarah Souder Johnson (she/her/hers) is a parent, therapist, educator, musician and the co-founder of Dissonance, a nonprofit organization focused on the intersections of wellness and creativity. As a mental health therapist, Sarah works with adolescents, young adults and musicians at Sentier Psychotherapy in St. Paul where she provides individual, family and group counseling as well as workshops for parents and teens.
